You're gonna love it in an Instant...

I know on the podcast we mention Netflix Instant Watch A LOT! And deservedly so. If you folks are movie fans and DON’T have Netflix Instant Watch what exactly are you waiting for?

So as you can tell I have watched tons of flicks on Netflix Instant Watch lately. But rather than drone on and on about each film I am gonna give you my “Instant Reviews” (3 sentences or less on each films)

VANISHING ON 7TH STREET
This was such an awesome concept that I couldn’t wait to see this flick. Hayden Christensen sucks the life out of his performance and makes the audience not care if he makes it or not. All in all it could’ve been a really good film that just fell short.

BREAST PICTURE
It’s an entertaining little flick that works on a few different levels. The acting is just okay but the writing more then makes up for it.

2001 MANIACS: FIELD OF SCREAMS
Did the original really need a sequel? And this time NO Robert Englund. Not even as much gore and nudity that made the first one at least a little funny.

BLACKBALLED: THE BOBBY DUKES STORY
This mockumentary is a combination of TALLADEGA NIGHTS and THIS IS SPINAL TAP, however it falls more toward the Talladega Nights. Very little actual comedy but at least what little comedy there is, is actually funny.

VISIONEERS
I loved loved loved this Dark Comedy, but then again Dark Comedy is sort of my thing. A well crafted story that is directed terrific.

PAUL MCCARTNEY REALLY IS DEAD
This “documentary” is shot and claims to be real. For a conspiracy theorist it was a creepy fun flick. For a Beatle fan it was a laughable mess.

KNOCKAROUND GUYS
Was I supposed to give a crap about any of these characters, I did feel for Seth Green but mainly because I like Seth Green. Just another run of the mill crab mobster flick.

FINDING BLISS
It’s a well made film that has some humor in it (lots of attempts at it at least). Directed well with descent acting. But overall it feels like a glossy version of the far superior (and much funnier) SLIPPERY SLOPE (sadly not on Netflix Instant Watch, yet).

DEAD END
Ray Wise gives you what he always does a solid clever performance. It is darkly funny in parts and down right creepy in others. If it was just a little better made it’d been perfect.

THE TEN
This was an amazing dark comedy that felt like a live sketch comedy performance done with famous friends. It’s a lot of fun and there are clever moments that made my laugh out loud several times.

LET ME IN
Like with most American remakes of Foreign Films this one just didn’t capture what the first one had, and I didn’t really “love” the original. Chloe Moretz did wonderful but I really am a fan of hers.

TRANSMORPHERS
Crap! Couldn’t make it 7 minutes in. Maybe I will try again drunk someday.

All these flicks are available on Netflix Instant Watch so go check them out (or don’t) for yourself. Remember this is just my two cents, spend it as you wish.
