Not Quite 20 Years Ago!

If we here at Zombie vs Shark were actually intelligent, we would save this episode for next year and 'look back 20 years' at 1995. However, we tend to do things a bit differently and record our ZvS loves 1995 episode, The Liability Alone, 19 years later! So dust of those 56k modems, Sega Saturns and Sony Discmans...as the gang takes you on that journey through time.
Gas was barely over a dollar, Bill Clinton was in the White House and Braveheart took home the Oscar for Best Picture. Michael and Janet Jackson teamed up for Scream and Val Kilmer donned the cap and cowl as the Dark Knight. Cutthroat Island, Showgirls and Waterworld...yes, 1995 had its share of successes and failures. Tune in now and reminisce about what you were doing then, we promise we won't tell.

Robin Williams: 1951-2014

It is often said, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” We here at Zombie vs Shark felt every bit of that statement on the day of August 11, 2014. The loss of actor/comedian/philanthropist Robin Williams has been felt around the world, and more than a week after his death, the pain and shock of the event has not subsided in any way. Sure, eventually we will move on, we always do. Many already have and for others it will take a long while. Today, ZvS is Remembering Robin Williams.
With a career that spanned over 30 years, Robin managed to touch many people in a lasting way. Whether he made you laugh or cry, he always seemed like he was right there with you. He played characters that you could relate to, that could make you think, that would make you pee your pants from laughter.
Beyond all that, he was heavily involved in many charities. Such as American Foundation for AIDS Research, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Dogs Deserve Better, Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and UNICEF; just to name a few. Here, he gave perhaps the most of himself, he gave his time.

Yes, Robin Williams was a great entertainer, but he was also a great person. He will be missed.

"I started doing comedy because that was the only stage that I could find. It was the pure idea of being on stage. That was the only thing that interested me, along with learning the craft and working, and just being in productions with people."
- Robin Williams

Someday Our Prince Will Come

"There's a terrific power to music.  You can run any of these pictures and they'd be dragging and boring, but the minute you put music behind them, they have life and vitality they don't get any other way."

- Walt Disney

Yes, it is time again for another ZvS music episode! This time Jaye & Joe sit down and talk...wait...what? SERIOUSLY? How the hell did Joe convince Jaye to do a music episode on Disney music? Okay. Fine. The boys sit down and talk DISNEY. They unleash their inner-child and learn to smile, laugh and sing along to those jazzy hits that made them dance in movie theater aisles.
Joe makes you remember all the love you had for the cartoons from your own childhood. And through the magic that only Disney can bring Jaye is even surprised by a memory of running around his house torturing his poor mother by singing the same damn song over and over and over and over and...well you get the point.
So sit back and enjoy Right in Front of the Castle.
