Masterpiece Podcast Serial Theatre

Gather around the radio (aka computer, iPod, mp3 player, etc.) to tune into your favorite show...Zombie vs Shark! That's right, this week, the guys attempt something they've been eyeing for awhile. Not really sure what they call it yet, as it is some kind of Masterpiece Theatre meets radio serials. A Masterpiece Podcast Serial Theatre!
As everyone gears up for the season finale VS episode, they guys decided to have some fun and recorded themselves acting out a short script. Anyone who has ever owned or used a printer can appreciate today's story. They will feel the anger build up and the satisfaction from what happens. The guys truly enjoyed recording this (even with a special guest) and look forward to doing more in the future. If you have any ideas for the guys, feel free to send in your suggestions, they would love to hear them.
In the meantime, please silence all devices and refrain from any flash photography. Exits are located in the rear and there will be no intermission. Enjoy the show and curtain up!

Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it

Our very own Intern Celeste brought this topic to us. The question: What would Zombie vs Shark put into the song, based on their lifetimes? A fun challenge that the boys were more than willing to take on. Tune in now to On Your Face, Neck & Chest to hear what events and people they felt helped shape the past three decades, weather for good or bad reasons.

What Were You Doing In...

Sometimes, it really does happen just like this. The guys were continuing work on Plan B Studio (the never-ending project) when they got to talking about 1993.  As they inevitably do, a large discussion ensues and finally someone said..."why the f#@% aren't we recording this?"
With that, we give you I Brought 4 Dead People! An episode all about the going ons of 1993. Which as it turns out, was an amazing year for films and quite a transitional year in the evolution of music. Sit back and enjoy the walk down memory lane for some of you; and your first glimpse into the past for others (you know who you are you youngins).
Also, we would like to take this opportunity to let fans know that the show will be on a one week break for Thanksgiving and then they will be back to wrap up the season before Xmas. But as always, keep an eye out for special content. The guys don't want you to forget them in their absence...especially Jaye, it would make him very sad.

I Will Not Pledge Allegiance to Bart

When the guys sat down and decided to do an episode all about The Simpsons, there was a moment of 'what more could we add to the discussion?' But then they realized, it's The Simpsons, it is all fun and the best way to go is to just be fans. With that, they invited into Plan B Studios, the biggest Simpsons fan they know...Madam Lawyer!
Tune in now to I Bent My Wookie to hear all about the characters, the music, the history, the voices, the greatness! All the fun of The Simpsons cannot be contained in just one episode, but the boys do their best and there is no rule that says they can't do another episode on the topic sometime in the future.
We hear at Zombie vs Shark wold also like to remind our fans that we will be going on break during the holidays, as our fourth season comes to an end. But do not fret, as we will still be releasing new and fun content for all to enjoy!

While you enjoy the haul from your trick-or-treating festivities tune in to the final installment of lesser known horror film franchises. I'm Not Eating That dives into the often forgotten zombie franchise, Return of the Living Dead! Also, tune in to this episode to hear the answers to all of the zombie related questions you sent in! If you did not send in any questions, you still can. Maybe the guys will answer them next time or save them for next year's zombie episode. In the meantime hear what others asked and what the guys think. #4 of 5 Run-Up Episodes to Halloween!

omen: noun\ˈō-mən\
something that is believed to be a sign or warning of something that will happen in the future (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

This week's horror film franchise selection is The Omen, the best series the boys have discussed so far. Perhaps the best franchise they will discuss (we still have one more to go)! With only four films, there is little room for a dud; a bad film can drastically change the quality of the overall franchise. 'Type 2 Diabetes' will bring you a franchise that has definitely been lost in the shuffle.:
The first film in the series is one of the best horror films around and an overall top quality movie regardless of genre. The guys discuss, debate, deal and derail the four films and you can have a front row seat to it by downloading this week's episode. Next week the guys will bring you their annual zombie episode, so hopefully you have gotten those undead questions in in time.

#3 of 5 Run-Up Episodes to Halloween!

It had to happen eventually, the guys talk about a character shorter than Joe! In I Need to Swallow First the guys take on the Leprechaun franchise. There are several different opinions regarding the six films, but the guys are able to come to a consensus regarding its place in the horror film franchise hierarchy.
So don't waste any time, tune in now and start watching the films that the guys recommended. We only have a couple more weeks until the zombie episode and Halloween and they guys are compiling your questions now. There is still plenty of time to get them in, they look forward to hearing from you.

Well, here it is! Watch Lep in the Hood at your own risk!

The guys discuss the underrated horror franchise Phantasm in this week's episode 'Creepy Sexy Baby'. As they lay out their views of the films, they try to find its place among the pantheon of horror film franchises. Find out now where they rank it, how the Tall Man stacks up with his contemporaries and learn about the awesome character of Reggie!
With only four films to discuss, the guys are able to dive a little deeper into the story line presented to audiences and the overall interpretation of the films. The guys had a fun debate. #1 of 5 Run-Up Episodes to Halloween!

Here we are again, another year has gone by and we have reached the most exciting part of the season...the run-up to Halloween and the Inevitable Zombie episode!!! This year the guys are taking on the horror movie franchises that don't normally get talked about, the lesser knowns as it were. Everyone likes talking about Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween; but which large franchises deserve to be held up among the pantheon of great horror franchises?
We start our conversational journey with the Puppetmaster, pint sized monsters that will cut anyone down to size. Tune in to Throws Her in the Fire now to find out what the guys are saying about this franchise. They even have a couple of visitors to Plan B Studios (check out the picture below). Puppetmaster is the franchise with the most movies (10 plus one out of continuum) that the guys will be talking about. Tune in to hear what else will be coming up and don't forget to get those zombie questions in!

ZvS Presents another 13 Lucky-List

It has been quite a while since the guys put together a 13 Lucky-List. So this week they bring you their top 13 feature length film directors. Now if you are new to the show or have not heard one of the list shows, then you are in for a treat...and frustration.
We here at Zombie vs Shark believe there is no such thing as a perfect list. People will always disagree or gripe about something being left off, not ranked high enough or ranked too high. Honestly, that is why the boys started doing lists; they wanted to get their two cents in. Tune in to 'Hitchcock on the Teacups' to find out what the gangs criteria is for narrowing down this list. Hear them debate which directors should make it onto the list and where they should rank.
Who will make the list? Will your favorite director be there? Will they make it to the top five? Top three? Find out now and then send in your hate mail, we look forward to hearing from you. While you are sending your hate mail, also send in your zombie related questions as we begin our run-up to the zombie episode and Halloween starting next week.

Mad Men Must Be Working Overtime

The gang gets nostalgic again, well sorta. This week they discuss some of the classic commercials and their spokespeople (that's right, PC) and the modern day commercials that might be recalled a generation or tow from now. We all remember the Energizer Bunny and Ronald McDonald. But will we remember the Geico Gecko, the E-Trade Baby or Jack from Jack in the Box?
Tune in to 'Free Random Task' now and listen in to what the guys have to say as well as your responses to our media question. Also, don't forget to submit your zombie related questions (zombievs.shark@yahoo.com) as we get closer and closer to our annual zombie episode. One we all look forward to.

A True Hollywood Classic!

Well it has been a little while since the guys sat down for a commentary, so here you go.  The boys all gathered together, including Joe, to bring you their musings on the film Tremors 2: Aftershocks!!! Everyone here in Plan B Studios is very excited for this one. A film that the guys hold dear, not a great film, but a beloved one. Even though Kevin Bacon does not make an appearance (well, there is a photo of him), the great Burt Gummer returns to the party. We all hope you enjoy the fun of this sequel
Those giant subterranean creatures that terrorized a desert town in the original comedy-thriller "Tremors" (1990) are now plowing their way through Mexican oil fields, gobbling up everything and everyone around. The Mexican government, desperate to stop this reign of terror, has offered to pay fifty thousand dollars a head for hunting the man-eating Gabroids--and only one man can stop them: Earl Basset!...(description from www.movie25.com)

The Boys Return to Plan B Studio

Despite all of the fun the gang had with their adventures at Stockton-Con, they are very glad to be back in Plan B Studios. It is like coming home after a long a vacation, there is just nothing like your own bed. With that, the boys returned to the studio with their hot wives Karene and Cathy to bring you 'Whiskey and Duct Tape'! The four discuss their favorite female music artists...those that lulled with a sultry voice and those that rocked so hard they can only be badass chicks!
We hope you enjoy Zombie vs Shark's return to regularly scheduled programming and expect to find more fun and creative episodes coming your way. The boys have their creative juices flowing (insert joke here) and looking forward to the rest of the season with much delight. Until then, enjoy!
