The Golden Age of Film

“Oh how Shakespeare would have loved cinema!”
― Derek Jarman, Dancing Ledge

We here at ZvS are very excited about this episode, 'They Shoulda Made Better Films' because it is one the boys have been looking forward to doing for quite some time.  The boys are joined in studio with special guest Rob the voice over man! He has been apart of every single episode, yet know one has ever noticed. Aside from being a wonderful intro announcer, he is a big fan of films, especially classic cinema.
Rob has compiled a list of classic films that should get any modern day film buff excited about the era of black and white, the golden age of film!

“Hollywood's Studio Era was part of a Golden Age because it didn't need profanity (unlike reality-television today)”
― Manny Pacheco

Also, we are very excited to be rapidly approaching our 100th episode and we are currently cooking something special up for all of our fans! So keep an eye and ear out on our social media sites in the coming weeks for more info. In the meantime, we hope you all enjoy our latest offering and do yourselves a favor and check out at least two of the films mentioned.  They are classics for a reason.

“The cinema is an invention without a future.”
― Louis Lumière

Send in the Next Victim

Disclaimer: During our recording, the first segment suffered some audio technical difficulties.  We sincerely apologize to all of our listeners. The remodel of Plan B Studios has led to more on air issues than we anticipated and we are working to remedy that problem.  We are grateful to the fans of the show who have and continue to stick it out with us. Thank you.

Without further adiue, we give you 'We're Doin' Science' for your listening pleasure.  It also includes our first audition for the role of Intern Joel, one we hope to fill soon.  Please welcome Christina with open arms and let the boys scare her away.  This week's offering is a fun one for the boys, as they talk TV!
How many times have you watched a show and then an episode airs where you wonder what the writers, directors and studio were thinking? Did the show suddenly take an odd turn? The quality began to go down? Then, my friends, you witnessed the moment your beloved TV show jumped the shark!  Tune in now to hear the guys discuss some very famous TV shows and their jump the shark moments.

Back in the Saddle Again

The boys head back into the studio and this time, they come out with something other than a commentary! It's about damn time right?  Hear them round table discuss several pop culture topics and news bits from the past few weeks, the guys also sound off on more of the listener responses from previous episodes. Hear some bad impressions as well and get some news on potential interns. Download 'Can't Get My Beak Wet' now, it is a potpourri of pop culture,  a 'pop'pourri if you will. Enjoy all!
