Dying is Easy...Comedy is Hard

The hits just keep on coming here in Plan B Studio! This week the boys welcome back special guest Mike Kiley for a discussion about the evolution of comedy films. Nothing to Laugh at turns into an episode of pure laughter, the guys really aren't sure how much of a real conversation will come through.
With the face of comedy changing, the guys thought it would be a good idea to address where it is at and what may have contributed to the evolution of comedy in films. They attempt to present a coherent argument, but whenever Kiley comes around, it's hard to keep a straight face!

Walk Like a Man, Talk Like a Man

DJ Monkeyspunk drops by Plan B Studio and poses a question to gang "What makes a man?"
A question the guys took to the fans in their social media question and questions came back with a different perspective than the guys originally thought. As they looked over the responses, the guys realized people are not viewing it as the clothes, the job, the car make up the man but something much deeper.
Tune in to Walking the Line to hear how the gang took on the question and find out if they were able to come up with any kind of usable answer! Afterwards, if someone asks you, will you have an answer to what makes a man?

"They're STILL here"

"Great movie quotes become part of our cultural vocabulary. When you consider that any phrase from American film is eligible, you realize this is our most subjective topic to date. We expect nothing less than a war of words as we reignite interest in classic American movies."
Jean Picker Firstenberg
President Emerita, American Film Institute

For the start of Zombie vs Shark's fifth season, the guys take a look at the American Film Institute's 100 Years...100 Movie Quotes. Returning to the studio, was pretty exciting and the guys enjoyed recording this topic as it allowed them to be a bit goofy (or goofier than usual). Movie quotes are a major component to pop culture and fans relish the opportunity to actually use a favorite quote when given the proper situation; and the guys wanted to recognize it with this episode Started with a Train Wreck!
Everyone that is a part of ZvS is happy to be returning for a fifth season and look forward to the upcoming year. We also appreciate every one of our listeners and hope they continue to enjoy the show! The guys also continue to encourage fans participation by contacting them with questions, comments or even future topics. And now, on with the show!

*Zombie vs Shark experienced some technical difficulties during the recording of this episode and wish to apologize for any listening convenience. We are currently working to remedy the issue and hope to have it resolved shortly. Thank you.

Too Much Downtime Leads To Rambling

Well ok, one more go around before the official kickoff to the fifth season of Zombie vs Shark! The guys were hanging out in Plan B Studio with House of Doodle (Alexis Villanueva) and the conversation may have gotten away from them. Check out Fisto After Dark to hear about how they would cast the live action films of comic book characters and kid's cartoon shows.
Enjoy the show, especially knowing that a brand new season is only a week away and loads of wonderful prospects are on the horizon!

Do You Remember the First Time You...

It's been a while but finally Joe & Jaye sit down to do yet another one of their famous music episodes. Following in the footsteps of their previous episode "Everyone Has A Story" where they discussed their life story soundtracks, this time the boys answer questions about what music popped their cherries, so to speak.
All about the music "firsts" of their lives. Such as the first concert they went to, the first song they slow danced to and an all important first song to remind "you of YOU". The boys invite you to think back on your own musical firsts and write in to tell them all about it while you listen to 'The Wrinkle in the Page'.
