Dear Santa...This Year I Want That Feeling Again.

When December rolls around on the calendar; it is a time of busy streets, cramped parking lots and crowded malls. A time when stress levels increase, not to mention waistlines! People constantly wishing us holiday cheer, but instead giving us holiday headaches...Remember what is was like when you were a kid?
Christmas break was around the corner. Most of the time spent in school was spent doing holiday activities. My favorite was making a gingerbread house...then promptly eating it! The cool air that smacked against our young faces was refreshing and full of the winter spirit. We felt the holiday cheer deep inside and delighted in the many lights, decorations and candy canes. But...
Most of all we working working on our Christmas lists. We treated that like a post-graduate thesis paper...we check it and re-checked it to make sure everything we wanted was on it, and that we worded it correctly.  The rapidly approaching holiday only meant one thing, presents! But not just any presents...TOYS!
To wake up early in the morning and rip open the presents (wrapping paper flying in a whirlwind around you), seeing that toy in it's glorious packaging brought a smile to your face and a fantastic leap to your heart! When you finally freed your new toy from its package and felt it's cool metal, sleek plastic or soft fabric it brought butterflies to your stomach. You were the happiest you've ever been in your life...until next december. Would you like to get part of that feeling back?
Well then download this week's episode, 'A Few That Died In The Vacuum.' Then take a few minutes from the hustle and bustle to sit back, relax and slip back into your childhood self...after all, everyone deserves a present this time of year!

All You Need Is...The Beatles!

As John Lennon once said. "We really haven't got an act, we just do what we do."
When it comes to influence, The Beatles may hold a monopoly (in fact they have their very own version of the Monopoly board game), download this weeks episode, 'Tonight We're Stealing It Back' to find out just how influential The Beatles really were!
So now I will let the man who introduced The Bealtes to America back in 1964, Mr. Ed Sullivan...introduce them again.
"Now tonight you are gonna twice be entertained by the them, right now and in the second half of our show. Ladies and gentleman, The Beatles!"

YOUR HOSTS!!!

                                        @jayeofmanyhats                        @yaggles23

What's up bitches! WE have arrived and are about to mushroom stamp pop culture right in its face! Don't forget to follow us on twitter at the names ^ above ^ and on Facebook...naw, just kidding. Facebook sucks ass!

Why Are You Doing This?
Well, after bitching and moaning about all these horrible 'Top 10 or 100' lists and hearing other people talk about what is and is not great about pop culture, we decided to put in our two cents.  It really is a matter of 'put up or shut up,' and we decided to put up. Or until our wives tell us to shut up.

Who Are You Guys?
Jaye has acted in/directed/written over 100 theatre productions. Spent more than 16 years doing roadie and tech work for various theatre productions and concerts. He is also an avid movie and music fan, owning over 2000 movies and over 5000 music albums. Not to mention a full library of books and he makes it a point to view every film in any of the American Film Institutes (AFI) 'Top' lists. The list of qualifications goes on and on. Tony...he is Jaye's friend.

How Did You Meet?
We met while working on the set of a show at Kiley's Dinner Theatre (Lodi, CA) back in 2003. There was not a whole lot of conversation between us, until the topic of smoking monkey pole came up. We have been virtually inseperable since (minus Florida), so if anyone asks...monkey pole brought us together. <sigh> good times, noodle salad.

How Did You Come Up With Your Show Title?
We feel the title accurately describes where we come from when it comes to pop culture. No doubt you have heard many opinions on an array of topics and we would love for you to hear ours; BUT...we also want you to take our opinion for what its worth. After all, we're a couple of guys who love a movie where a zombie fights a shark!

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In Doing This Podcast?
What is our ultimate goal in anything we do...to take over the world.

The Hour At Hand Is Upon Us!

I guess the kidding around is pretty much over. We have solved the technical problems, hammered out the content details and hyped the show long enough.
The first show of Zombie vs Shark is upon us, in just one week we will be posting the show. We are extremely excited about this, I even have some nervousness building up. When you wake up on Thursday, November 11th you will be able to download and listen to our inaugural episode. We truly hope you all enjoy it, and encourage all who listen to respond to anything they like, hate, agree, disagree or even to just make a snide comment.
So, without further adieu... the first episode will feature our Top 13 Lucky-List of 'Best use of an existing song in a Film.' We will be posting our criteria for this list soon and if you folks feel the urge to contact us about it with your thoughts, post a comment on this site or hit us up through email Zombievs.Shark@yahoo.com ...hope to hear from all of you!
Talk to you soon. Oh and "we're coming to get you pop culture!"
-Yaggles23
